To Kill a Mockingbird(favourite character)-blog prompt #8

My favourite character in To Kill a Mockingbird would definately be Atticus. He is a very humble and caring father, and also does not show descrimination against the black people. In the story, he was chosen to be a lawyer for Tom Robinson-a black person who was accused of rape. When this happened, Atticus did not decline the job, as he said that if he did not accept the job , he would not be a good model to his children, as he would be said to descriminate the black people. However, after much effort, in court, as the jury showed descrimination, whatever Atticus said was useless, even though Atticus proved that Tom Robinson was innocent, the jury still put him behind bars. Then, when Tom was in jail, he decided to make a run for freedom, but was eventually shot while climing the fence, which he would have made it if not for his arm. Even though Atticus knew he had only a small chance to win, he never gave up, and that is why he is my favourite character in To Kill a Mockingbird.
