There was this one incident that happened to me when I was about 6. As I lived near my friend, we played together very often. He also had a bike, and near my house was a slope. One day, we decided to ride down the slope. As we were young, we did not know the risk of doing so, without a helmet! After my friend, I went for a try. However, halfway down the slope, I noticed my friend's younger brother blocking the path. Then, I was in a situation that I didn't know what to do. It was a small path, and if I decided to dodge him,, I would crash into a wall. I had no time to ponder about it, just as I was about to crash, I turned and knocked into the wall. Then, my chin start to bleed. Luckily, I did not hit my head, or I would not be here today. It bleed non-stop, from the time I crashed , to the time my parents came back from work. It has been 5 hours. During that time, my grandparents told me to lay on the bed, hoping that it would stop. But it didn't. When my parents arrived and found out, they quickly rushed me to hospital, and I received 3 stiches for the incident and a scar at my chin, which is a mark of this incident that I would never forget.
There are a few reasons why this happened. The main reason was that I was not wearing a helmet. But even so, I think it was my thinking as a child. I did not relise the consequences of my action, and only knew when it was too late. Afer thinking about it, I relise that I am very lucky that I did not hit my head but my chin. After this incident, I have became more careful in life, and also less risk-taking, even though i still take risk, but I take responsible risks. I now think of my actions, and would think of the consequences before taking action. Life is important, and you only have one, so protect your life.
