Expository Essay Do we Still Need Heroes

In our societies, heroes are still needed as they benefit our society. They do so through going green, helping us when we are in need, as well as standing up for justice. These heroes would chose to sacrifice their daily lifestyle to save the from global warming through actions such as taking public transport instead of private vehicles. They also help us when we are in need through giving us guidance and support. Finally, ther stand up for justice as they do not show prejudice in any form, and would treat everyone equally. These actions would then define someone as a hero, and is why they are benificial to our societies.

Firstly, these heroes benefit the societies by going green. The reason for this is to save the Earth from global warming, which if not prevented, would one day end the life on Earth. They do this through taking public transport, bringing their own shopping bags when they go shopping, recycle and so on. These actions, even such small ones, still plays an important role in saving our Earth. If everyone did the same, saving the Earth would definately be possible. This is why going green benifits the society, and makes a average human being a hero.

Heroes are also beneficial to our societies as they help you when you need it the most. An example for this would be the recent Japanese crisis. Many coutries offered their help to the nation, and volunteers gave it their all to bring the nation back to their feets. Without the help, Japan may not return to a prosperous nation anymore. This shows that during times when someone requires help, these heroes would offer a helping hand. This is why they are important and benficial to our societies, and our societies would not survive without these heroes.

Finally, heroes are benificial as they uphold justice in our societies. Without them, crime would go on unpunished and our societies may not be as safe as it is with heroes. One good example would be from the book, "To Kill a Mockingbird". During that time, many people were prejudice against the african-americans. However, this man, Atticus, who was a lawyer, did not show any prejudice when he decided to defend Tom Robinson, an african american. This very example clearly defines what makes a person a hero. It shows that in this world, at least some people still treat everyone equally, and uphold justice in this world. They chose to do what is right, even though they realise their consequences for their actions. This, is why heroes are beneficial.

To conclude, heroes are important as they, in one way or another, protect the Earth, and the people living on this planet.
