Have you ever been part of a group of people who were unkind to one or some individuals? Well , i have. Last year, during the first term, some of my classmates made fun of another of my classmate. We called him names and made him feel left out and lonely. However, even though i was part of the group, i did not mock that classmate. The reason being that he was my friend, and I felt that it was wrong to insult someone or not allowing him to join us in our activities. I never understood then why we picked on him. Anyway, i tried to persuade some of my classmates to stop it as it would make him feel bad,as well as keeping him company and talking to him sometimes. Eventually, they stopped mocking him, but not because of what i had told them, but because they did not find it entertaining anymore. And that was why we mocked him, because we found it entertaining. During that time, i actually felt guilty as I had just been an 'audience' when he was mocked, but I was rather glad that I had tried to stop the mocking, and that it eventually ended.
In my opinion, this bullying should be prevented from happening . Luckily for this case, my classmate was not really hurt. But still , this should not happen at all. I think everyone should be treated equally. No matter whether you are a boy, girl, if you are rich or poor or if your races differ. We should all be given equally rights and opportunity.

I agree with you that bullying should be prevented, and I am sure others agree too.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the point is: Does anyone of us have the guts to stand up to the bully, and tell him off? Or do we stand by, and watch the victim get bullied?
We should deeply reflect upon this.
